You can take part in the trial if
- You have suffered from lower back pain for over three months, the cause of which is medically unknown.
- You are at least 18 years old.
- You have no severe physical and no serious mental illnesses.
- You are not pregnant, are not breastfeeding and have no active desire to have children.
- Paracetamol, ibuprofen or diclofenac have not relieved your pain sufficiently.
How well has the medication already been examined?
Extensive safety data already exists for similar plant extracts in other indications as well as initial safety data for the use of the new drug in treating chronic back pain.
What is the purpose of the trial?
The aim of this trial is to find out the connection between the dosage of the active ingredient and any reduction in pain.
How will the trial proceed?
As part of this trial, you will be treated by a qualified doctor. The trial lasts for up to 15 weeks. A doctor’s appointment will take place every two weeks. During the course of the trial you will receive either the new medication to treat your pain or a placebo preparation. For your participation in the trial you will receive compensation for your expenses and the treatment costs within the study are covered for you.
